Iskalo Development Corp. is actively seeking a Director of Information Technology (IT) to join our team. The Director of Information Technology is responsible to provide dynamic, responsive, collaborative and forward-thinking vision, leadership and management of technology systems and services to support the mission and goals of Iskalo Development Corp. This includes the planning, development, implementation, management and maintenance of all applications, infrastructure, security, networks, technology training, as well as comprehensive support for the teaching and learning activities of the staff and key stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Provides planning, budgeting, leadership and supervision to the IT department, communicates current and projected needs, requirements and options in the organization’s budgeting process, and recommends acquisitions and updates
  • Aligns department goals and work with the organization’s vision, strategic plan and priorities
  • Manages IT department staff, to include evaluation of needs, hiring, training, and productivity
  • Maintains knowledge documentation, coaches and trains less-experienced technicians on issues and procedures.
  • Performs regular reporting on ticketing activity and ensures that tickets are categorized correctly.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
  • Liaises with third party vendors to communicate knowledge of system and network compatibility and to communicate needs; provides input regarding software/hardware purchases
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex, time-consuming hardware and application incidents.  Escalates tickets requiring additional support from a developer or third-party vendor.  Addresses incidents using remote support tools or desktop visits.  Ensures that all applications operate properly on business computers and manage customer accounts.  Responsible for identifying trends in non-functioning applications
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
  • Deploys software updates to the desktop; verifies licensing requirements and confirms prerequisites are in place. Verifies that software installation is successful, and that the software is functional.  Maintains advanced knowledge of software delivery tool and assists with creating desktop standards.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to efficiently implement technical installations and upgrades, specifically property management
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
  • Oversees the management of the helpdesk; monitors and reports on helpdesk statistics to key leaders
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations
  • Develops and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
  • Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, management, or related field/experience
  • A minimum of ten years’ related experience, including a minimum of 5 year in a supervisory or management role, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of the position
  • Broad knowledge of current communication protocols, operating systems, virtual technologies, and programming
  • Technical knowledge and analytical skills to identify complex system issues and coordinate an effective resolution
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN/WAN, SD-WAN
  • Enterprise Office 365 in a hybrid federated deployment (Azure Active Directory Services, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
  • In-depth knowledge of writing and running scripts in PowerShell
  • Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and remote desktop services
  • Linux and FreePBX knowledge preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver timely, on budget completion of those projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with key stakeholders, staff, vendors, tenants and others
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical matters effectively with people of varying skills and background, including supervisors, directors, staff, vendors, tenants and others as needed
