Big Ditch Brewing Company

The Buffalo Niagara Region’s Leading Craft Brewery.

Located at 55 Huron Street in downtown Buffalo, Big Ditch Brewing Company commenced formal brewing operations in 2014 followed by the opening of its acclaimed tap room in 2015.  Iskalo Development, working with Big Ditch founders, undertook the design and construction of the brewery and tap room which completely transformed the non-descript, circa 1967, former Verizon fleet maintenance building into the “hub” of the Electric District of downtown. The brewery and tap room were later expanded in 2016.  The name “Big Ditch” pays homage to the Erie Canal, an engineering marvel that, upon its opening in 1825, changed Buffalo forever and marked the beginning of more than 100 years of prosperity for the City.  Big Ditch, together with several other local brewers, has led the craft brewery resurgence in the Buffalo-Niagara region.  Big Ditch Brewing continues to lead craft brewing in Buffalo, having been awarded the “Best Craft Brewery in New York State at the 2016 NY TAP Festival.
