Position Summary
The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing or overseeing the advanced maintenance and repair needs of properties within the company portfolio. Tasks to be performed involve electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and general property maintenance. The company portfolio consists of commercial, retail, and residential properties located throughout Erie, Niagara, and Cattaraugus Counties.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of related maintenance or trades experience. Technical/Trade school and completion of craft apprenticeship preferred;
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
- Valid NYS driver license with clean history;
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC skills required, with working knowledge of most hand tools;
- Working knowledge of real estate, construction, or property management environment preferred;
- Understanding of basic construction language and concepts;
- Available to work on call in support of multiple commercial, residential, and hospitality-based properties;
- Effective verbal and written communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, HVAC and grounds support;
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in completion of tasks;
- Familiarization with mechanical components of all buildings within area of assignment;
- Respond to work orders and service calls in a timely and professional manner;
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used;
- Inspect buildings and systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations, escalating areas of concern to management as appropriate;
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks;
- Maintain a positive image of Iskalo Development Corp. and its affiliates at all times.

- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Takes initiative, is solution oriented and follows through on all assigned tasks until resolution;
- Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and smartphones.
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting and/or moving items over 75 pounds;
- Position is very active requiring frequent walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, standing, and climbing;
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;
- Work is performed in all types of weather conditions.
Salary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
